HILLARY CLINTON
Born: October 26, 1947 (age 67), Chicago, IL Height: 5' 7" Spouse: Bill Clinton (m. 1975) Party: Democratic Party Children: Chelsea Clinton Appointed for president by: Barack Obama
Hillary Clinton has served as a Secretary of State, Senator from New York, First Lady of the United States, First Lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer, law professor, and an activist.
Hillary lived her first years in a suburb in Chicago, Illinois and her family were middle class citizens. After Hillary's dad Hugh fought in World War II he opened a small drapery business. Hillary's family always helped the business whenever they could get a chance. Hugh was a pay-as- you-go kinda guy who worked hard and never wasted anything.
Hillary's mother, Dorothy, had a hard childhood. Her parents abandoned her when she was young, and she was then forced to live with her relatives who didn't want her. At age 14, she realized that the only way she would be able to get through life was if she supported herself. During high school she started working as a housekeeper and as a babysitter.
Hillary's own childhood was different to her mother's. She attended public schools and was Girl Scout, Hillary was also part of a softball team. Throughout Hillary's life, Hillary was raised to be a methodist. After high school, Hillary attended Yale Law school where she met her future husband Bill. She continued her life working hard with her husband, especially when her husband was elected president. As First Lady, Hillary tenaciously led the fight to reform our healthcare system so that all our families have access to the care they need at affordable prices. She also fought for women's rights.
Hillary has always wanted to help people. She has volunteered hundreds of hours. In 2008, Hillary ran for president, but ran short. She is trying again in the 2016 elections.
